Walnut Unlimited wins Breakthrough Business of the Year: MRS Awards 2018

Walnut Unlimited, the human understanding agency, has been named Breakthrough Business of the Year at the Market Research Awards 2018, held in London last night (3 December 2018). Alongside this amazing award, ushered in on the night of Walnut’s first birthday, the team were also honoured to accept the award for ‘Public Policy/Social Research’ through their social research unit, ICM Unlimited. This award, given to ICM Unlimited for their work with the MS Society using participatory research, was also named the recipient of the MRS Grand Prix award for greatest impact.

The study for which the Public Policy/Social Research and the MRS Grand Prix award was granted consists of participatory research employed to explore the socio-economic consequences of public policy changes on those with MS.

The awards come in the same week that Walnut celebrates its first birthday, a year since it was formed in December 2017 from Marketing Sciences, ICM Unlimited and ICM Direct. Also nominated was Associate Director, Becky Hutchins, shortlisted for the Young Researcher of the Year award.
